Istanbul, Turkey
Some say that it is the bridge between the east and the west. It is an old city that is trying to make it in the modern world. There is so much history and culture ingrained into the walls in the city. The city has survived since the Roman empire. Now it is the largest city in Turkey, making it the center of trade, finance and culture.
In the spring there is a festival called Frestival. It is a celebration of music and art. It is a weekend of different artist performances and displays of artwork. http://english.istanbul.com/events/festivals/freshtival
In the last few years, the night life of the city has grown. It is now the place to be for clubs and music. As with all of the rest of Europe clubs are very different from the US. Until I have had a chance to actually experience one I wont know the differences.

On top of all of this history and adventure to be had, in the morning there will be a wonderful cup of coffee at the local cafe. I have heard that Turkish coffee is like no other. Now this was from a Turkish man so there might be some bias. Who doesn't want to try something new?
Orange County, California
One of my favorite drama shows is the OC. Orange County is shown as a rich happy place where all of the beautiful people go.
Outside of the pretty people and the very expensive homes, there is a reason to go visit. The reason all of the people flock, the beach. The sun is always shining and the weather is always nice. If only to live like one of the rich and wealthy even if it is only for a few day.
Costa Rica
One of my close friends is going here for the summer and I would love to go with her. Unfortunately I can not. Instead I will visit beautiful pictures online and share all of the things I will do someday.
The beaches look amazing. I picture remote beaches that are peaceful, not the crowded ones in Europe. Reading in the sun and enjoying the sounds of the waves. This is my favorite type of relaxation. But sometimes I want some adventure in my vacation. There is always more to be seen than time to see it.
Personally I think a good idea is to go white water rafting. My close friend will indeed be taking a raft down the river. Costa Rica is known to have very good rivers for white water rafting. They are not for the first timer though. For the unadventurous type there is always shopping, pampering and relaxing to be done.
Switzerland
The pictures are gorgeous and alluring. Switzerland is not some place I have always wanted to go. As I am growing older it becomes more and more appealing. The picturesque views look so calm and relaxing. It seems like the kind of place you will get a good nights sleep. Zurich is big tourist spot so I looked up some close by places and found Greifensee. It is about 5 miles outside of Zurich and is perched on a lake that overlooks the alps. The night life and bustle of the big city is a short train ride away. The alps are about an hour train ride and there are small town cafes and shops to be investigated right near by. I looked up a bread and breakfast type restort with fair prices.

And of course while in Switzerland I would want to go snowboarding in the alps. In my places I wish to go I don't have a budget limit. So I would chose the Hotel St Georges. A gorgeous hotel with reasonable prices (during the summer season at least). With a slope right outside, the mountain would be all that I would need to keep occupied.
